Main Street West utilizes the full Main Street Approach to focus on neighborhood revitalization in Harmar.

By bringing together residents, business owners, and community leaders on Marietta’s west side, a grassroots movement has grown to accomplish the goals of the neighborhood hand in hand.

Started in the summer of 2018, Main Street West began as a partnership between the City of Marietta, Marietta Main Street, and west side residents. In 2019, Main Street West was awarded Main Street Program of the Year in the state of Ohio by Heritage Ohio.

Since its inception, Main Street West has grown to involve community partners like the Marietta Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Marietta-Belpre Health Department, Washington County Relay for Life, GoPacks, Marietta College, Washington County Behavioral Health Board, and much more.
